The Uros floating islands
A series of photographies on the Uros, an ethnic group who live on floating islands made of straw (totora) over the lake Titicaca. Centuries ago the Uros decided to build the islands and flee to the inside of the like in order to avoid the conflicts with the Inca. They have kitchens, schools, even sanitary centers, everything made of straw of course.
